Was it just me, or did Troy’s new Coke commercial not live up to the hype? I see what the writers were trying to do. It just didn’t work for me. Frankly, I thought it was corny.
As a matter of fact, I was pretty disappointed with the entire batch of Super Bowl commercials this year. I didn’t see a great commercial in the bunch.
Nevertheless, here is Troy’s commercial for any of you who missed it.

Note: This article originally contained the pre-Super Bowl teaser of the ad. Now that the Super Bowl is past, I have replaced it with the full commercial. So what you will see below is Troy’s new commercial in its entirety.
Troy Polamalu will be debuting a new Coke ad during the Super Bowl. The ad will be a revision of the Mean Joe Greene Coke ad of the 70′s. While the two commercials are going to be quite similar, the folks at Coke promise that the new ad will have an unexpected twist. They’re not telling what that twist will be, so tune in to the Super Bowl to see the mystery revealed.
For those of you who are too young to remember the original, here it is.
But of course the best version of all was Sesame Street’s parody of the commercial.
Of course, I’m just joking about that last one. But the original Mean Joe Greene commercial has to be one of the best commercials ever made. Congratulations to Troy on this great opportunity to represent a great product like Coke during the Super Bowl.
